The Perodua Axia is an A-segment hatchback, which is the entry point into Perodua's line-up.

Let’s take a closer look and see how much does it cost to maintain a Perodua Axia over a 5-year period.

Unlike other manufacturers, the Axia does not require a service or inspection at the 1,000 or 5,000-km mark; instead, the first service is at 10,000 km, which costs RM 142.90.

The next service is at the 20,000-km mark, in which the owner needs to fork out RM 240.63 for a service.

Perodua also offers its optional ProCare Preventive Service at every 20,000 km interval. Items included in this service are the air cleaner filter (RM 62.10), brake fluid (RM 21), tyre alignment, balancing, and rotation (RM 49), and major service for the air-conditioning system (RM 144).

Over the period of 5 years, owners of the Axia are expected to pay:

• RM 2,715 for Axia AT variants, without the ProCare package
• RM 2,554 for Axia MT variants, without the ProCare package
• RM 3,351 for Axia AT variants, with ProCare package
• RM 3,191 for Axia MT variants, with ProCare package

Although the ProCare package does bump the overall price up by several hundred Ringgit, opting out does not void the vehicle’s warranty.
