Following a teaser post last week, Naza Eastern Motors, the official distributor of Suzuki cars in Malaysia has officially launched the limited-edition Suzuki Jimny Rhino Edition.
Limited to only 30 units, the Jimny Rhino Edition is priced from RM 174,900 on-the-road without insurance. That is the same price as the standard non-rhino Jimny though this is one dedicated to small off-roaderās long-running lineage.
Itās pretty fitting too that the Jimny Rhino Editionās launch was held in conjunction with a Jimny Lifestyle Drive that saw more than 30 Jimny owners participating in a convoy drive from Suzukiās Petaling Jaya showroom to the Malaysia 4WD Training and Experience Centre (M4TREC) in Semenyih.
Only available in white, the Jimny Rhino Edition adds a few visual enhancements including a differential guard, a retro heritage front grille, retro graphics, a soft spare wheel cover, chrome wing mirrors as well as side and front bumper garnishes.
These upgrades - worth RM 15,000 - are also available as a separate kit for existing Jimny owners. The iconic Rhino logo is a tribute to the classic Suzuki SJ series from 40 years ago.
Outside of the additional visual accessories, the Jimny Rhino Edition maintains the same powertrain as the standard Jimny. Underneath the front hood is a naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre engine that makes 102 PS and 130 Nm.
This is paired with a 4-speed automatic that sends power to all 4 wheels via Suzukiās AllGrip 4WD system. However, donāt let the price, power, and our local spec's lack of certain features fool you because the Jimny is a capable little trooper that instantly puts a smile on your face.
