The Perodua Bezza 1.0L is well known for its fuel-efficient characteristics with a manufacturer claimed fuel consumption figure of 4.38L/100km (automatic variant). Let us break it down to you how they’ve achieved it without even equipping the Bezza auto start/stop feature.

Firstly, the Bezza 1.0L is an ultra-lightweight machine. Tipping the scale at 880 kg for the automatic variant, it’s even lighter than a Lotus Elise Sport 220 which weighs in at 924 kgs. Even the range-topping Bezza 1.3L Advance is only 930 kgs.

By keeping the weight down low, the Bezza is able to get up to speed much more efficiently, conserving precious fuel in the process. The low kerb weight is complemented by the tiny 14-inch alloys (wrapped in 175/65 profile tyres) which help keep rolling resistance low.
