Price equals from RM 141k, 2024 Suzuki Jimny 5-door launched in Indonesia; first ASEAN market to sell the model

PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) officially launched the legendary 2024 Suzuki Jimny5-door SUV at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2024, the first market the model goes on sale in the ASEAN region.
Prices for the Jimny 5-door are as below:
Jimny 5dr MT: IDR 462 mil (~RM 141k)
Jimny 5dr AT: IDR 475.6 mil (~RM 145k)
Jimny 5dr MT Two Tone: IDR 465 mil (~RM 142k)
Jimny 5dr AT Two Tone: IDR 478.6 mil (~RM 146k)
These prices are about 4 percent higher than the Jimny 3-door's range, which goes from IDR 444 mil (~RM 136k, MT single tone) to IDR 461 mil (~RM 141k).
The main difference between this and the iconic 3-door Jimny is...well, the extra pair of doors. To fit those in, the body and wheelbase were stretched to 3,965 mm and 2,590 mm respectively (up from 3,480 mm and 2,250 mm of the 3-door), and it also comes with a 211-litre boot space.
The extra length also means there's more useable seating space for those in the second row.
Performance is unchanged, with the Jimny 5-door still maintaining its offroad prowess with its AllGrip Pro 4-wheel drive system. Under the hood is the usual Suzuki K15B naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre engine, with 103 PS and 134 Nm, paired to either a 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual gearbox.
The Suzuki Jimny 5-door is available in six distinct adventure-inspired colors. For the dual-tone variant, Suzuki offers three color options: Metallic Sizzling Red + Pearl Bluish Black, Kinetic Yellow + Pearl Bluish Black, and Metallic Chiffon Ivory + Pearl Bluish Black. Meanwhile, for the single-tone variant, Suzuki also provides three color options: Granite Gray Metallic, Pearl Bluish Black, and Jungle Green.
Other than Indonesia, the Jimny 5-door has made stops in the Philippines and Singapore.
Meanwhile, conversations about the elongated Jimny hasn't reached Malaysia yet. Our market still sells the 3-door version, priced from RM 174,900.
