It is reported that Volkswagen wants to reduce internal cannibalization since the Skoda Superb offers greater practicality at a slightly lower price. Also, the company wants to focus on SUVs and the emerging EVs.
What does this mean for Malaysia?

If this report pans out, we could be seeing the Volkswagen Passat until the end of its lifecycle, which is projected at 2023. The Volkswagen Arteon is expected to receive a facelift in 2021, and that will be the last of its kind (4-door coupe) from Volkswagen.
To recap, both the Volkswagen Passat and Arteon are powered by the same 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that makes 190 PS and 320 Nm of torque. Power goes to the front wheels via a 7-speed wet type dual-clutch transmission.

The quest for automotive knowledge began as soon as the earliest memories. Various sources information, even questionable ones, have been explored including video games, television, magazines, or even internet forums. Still stuck in that rabbit hole.
