Four variants, 1.5L turbo engine
The X50's 1.5-litre TGDi mill. Will this be powering our S70?
There will be four variants at the outset – Executive, Premium, Flagship, and Flagship X. They're all listed to have a '1.5-litre Turbocharged Engine' and 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT), though exactly which engine it gets is still unclear.

With official photos shown, and more specifications emerge online, this only means the introduction of the Proton S70 in Malaysia draws ever closer. Prices haven't been shared just yet and that's something we will all learn come its proper launch day.
Bookings are open at RM 500 a pop. Public previews have been up and running at selected dealers around the country since 11-November 2023.
