Following launches in the Philippines and Singapore, Indonesia becomes the next ASEAN destination for Mazda’s latest SUV, the 2023 Mazda CX-60. Two editions are introduced at launch, Kuro Edition and Elite Edition and the fully imported (CBU) from Japan CX-60 is priced at IDR 1,188,800,000 (~RM 359k).
Only one powertrain is offered for both editions – a turbocharged 3.3-litre inline-6 e-Skyactiv G mild-hybrid system that produces 280 PS and 450 Nm. That unit is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all 4 wheels. The Indo-spec CX-60 is only available with all-wheel drive (AWD) whereas other markets offer a rear-wheel drive (RWD) layout.
The differences between the two editions offered in Indonesia are mainly in the exterior and interior trims. The Elite Edition comes with 20-inch black metallic machined aluminium wheels, body-coloured wing mirrors, a bar-type front grille, a black leather steering wheel, and white Nappa leather seat upholstery.
Meanwhile, the Kuro Edition offers 20-inch black metallic aluminium wheels, gloss black side mirrors, a honeycomb front grille, a two-tone leather steering wheel, and tan Nappa leather with quilting seat upholstery.
The Indo-spec CX-60 comes with Kinematic Posture Control (KPC) that balances the SUV around corners and provides extra comfort for occupants. It also offers the Driver Personalisation System that automatically adjusts the ideal driving position via a set of cameras.
