Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro, the successor of the high-performance sports vehicle - Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT, is branded as an agile gymnast with a lighter and smaller body. Parading its phenomenal velocity, the black version of AMG GT R was caught testing on the road.

Times up for little talks. Now let's talk about the hood!

What do you think of this car from your first glance? THE HOOD, I bet you say? Actually, we rather call it an EXHAUST HOOD. Just like the vent that sits right above the stove in your kitchen, but for coll-air intake purpose rather than smoke and odours evacuation.

Fencing the air inlet conspicuously, the front-end also gains two extra soldiers guarding both sides. Their purpose? Dual exit exhaust for hot air out, and the mega hood for cool air in. In real-life performance, we assume that Mercedes-Benz is trying to empower the model to kick more horsepower out while keeping the engine chilled.

Continues to use a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 engine, the GT R Pro is reported to attain the maximum power of at least 630 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque, making it the quickest in the AMG family.

The new version adopts the basic design language of AMG GT R, hence it resembles the standard GT R in looks but in a more exaggerated and sporty way. We are expecting to see the debut of this new model in the next year, not for its exorbitant price tag (RM 850,000), but to see how the exhaust hood will be presented out by then.
