A New carpool way in Malaysia: drivers get 100% fares

Unlike traditional e-hailing Grab, Ryde is a carpool app that will match the driver with passengers heading in the same direction.

Passengers can choose to adjust their price and split costs with others. The carpooling service will start from Klang Valley on November 1, and then to Johor, Penang and Malacca.

Bridgestone Malaysia appoints new MD

Bridgestone Malaysia has appointed Mr. Michael Chung Wing Kay as Managing Director. In his role, Michael will lead the sales and operations divisions at Bridgestone Malaysia. 

Before his appointment, Michael served on the senior leadership team of several multinational companies. He has nearly 30 years of general management, manufacturing operations, and sales and marketing experience and has a strong track record in business development.

Renault Malaysia celebrates the return of the Renault Megane R.S. 280 Cup

30 Renault Sport owners participated in the Renault Sport Track Day, which is a special night time track day at the Sepang International Circuit to celebrates the return of the Renault Megane R.S. 280 Cup.

All-New Toyota Yaris debuts with swiveling seats and Volvo-level AEB

This is the all-new Toyota Yaris, revealed ahead of its world premiere at the Tokyo Motor Show later this month.

The all-new Toyota Yaris will also come with semi-automatic self-parking assist but unlike similar features used by other brands, the Yaris’ Advanced Park feature doesn’t need white line markings on the ground for it to work – it’s a world’s first.

The all-new Honda Jazz is set to make its global debut

Some Japanese press have suggested that the all-new Jazz will also be offered with a Type R variant, and rumour says that the engine will be a tweaked version of the Civic’s and CR-V’s 1.5-litre turbocharged engine, and will produce 220 PS.

BMW’s first 2 Series Gran Coupe debuts

The Gran Coupe variant started off with the 6 Series (F12 generation), then with the 4 Series (F36 generation), and now comes the first-ever 2 Series Gran Coupe. 

It is BMW’s answer to the Mercedes-Benz CLA, both being a four-door coupe that shares the same underpinnings as its front-wheel drive hatch counterpart.

Goodyear to replace Dunlop as BTCC's sole tyre supplier

Goodyear is one of the world's largest tire companies, and it just announces a return to UK going to motorsport and will become the new sole tyre supplier to the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) from 2020.

According to the BTCC Chief Executive, this will give Goodyear the ideal opportunity to further increase its brand awareness via the UK’s largest motor sport championship.
