ford mustang memes Q&A Review

What is common in most Punjabi songs?

CARS!!!!!!!!!!!! And mostly the expensive ones, like ,Lamborghini, Ferrari etc. And most of the time the latest model of ,iPhone ,is also present. Let me give you an example. In ,'lahore' song ,by guru randhawa, during most of the song, either a ,Ford Mustang, is shown or the, iPhone X ,is shown. Have a look:- And not only in this song. In almost every punjabi song, a car is must present. Punjabi songs are like ,incomplete ,without cars. And this meme sums up all this:- So i think these two are the most common things in most Punjabi songs. Note:- No offence to guru randhawa. It was just an example. As it was the first which came to my mind. Edit 1:- thank you tarun bhai for the edit. ",I think karan bhai forgot about the girls acting in each and every punjabi songs. ," But actually i didn't forget to mention about girls, i thought that it is common in every song, be it Punjabi or Hindi or English. But yes, we can say that a love story of a boy and girl is also there in most of the punjabi songs. So you are right. Thanksgiving to you for the edit.

What will you choose between a Porsche 911 and a Ford Mustang? Why?

Weird question. They are both 2+2 coupes, but they come from very different backgrounds and approach the concept in very different ways. Generally, I would not think they would be cross shopped. Here a new Mustang is, at most, $75,000, and starts at $25,000. A new 911 starts at $97,000 and runs into $250,000 depending on options. So price is the number one reason to chose a Mustang over a 911. Assuming price is not a concern, then it comes down to experience. The Mustang is at its heart a muscle car. Handling, ride quality and seating have improved over the years, but the core concept is a big V8 engine in a relatively small package. Expect the interior of a $25,000 car. And that cost will have been a main concern in its development. The 911 is at its heart a 2.0 liter sports car from the 60’s. Handling and ride quality have always been first and foremost, with horsepower and cost being secondary. Each has a different emotion experience, from both the driver and the observer. People will think “oohhh, he spent a lot of money” about the Porsche owner, even if it is a 996 model. The Mustang owner will be more “high school car’ thoughts. An example of this are all the Cars and Coffee memes about the Mustang. Even with a Shelby GT 350, there is still a strong muscle car, 60’s American feel to a Mustang.

Why do Ford Mustang cars always run into the crowd?

This is a joke that started a while back with a compilation video of Mustangs spinning out while leaving car meets. It happens with other cars too, but Mustangs tend to get a bad rep for it for a number of reasons. One is the meme, but another is that they’re a very popular but not very expensive performance car, which means a lot of Mustang owners aren’t very experienced and don’t know how to handle the car very well. Any fast rear-wheel-drive car will oversteer (lose traction in the rear and rotate too far into the turn) if you give it too much gas suddenly while turning, but a properly trained driver will be able to steer into the slide and recover. Many drivers of cheap fast cars, including Mustangs, don’t have the training or experience to do this properly. As a result, what they imagine in their heads as a spectacular powerslide ends up with the car spinning out of control and hitting a crowd, another car or a tree. This is what they’re hoping for: (I couldn’t find a good powerslide gif of a Mustang, so please enjoy this BMW i8.) This is what ends up happening: . Moral of the story: know your limits, pay attention to your surroundings, don’t try to show off if you don’t know what you’re doing, and when leaving car shows, just drive out of the parking lot like a normal person instead of doing something idiotic.

What do gun owners and gun control activists think about the lawsuit against the company that manufactured the Sandy Hook coward's rifle?

I’m a gun owner. I think it’s like suing Ford when your kid gets run over by a drunk driver in a Mustang. It’s stupid, vindictive, misguided, petty, arrogant, self-serving and obnoxious. It’s also within the legal realm of possibility in the country that would elect Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump because it’s excellent at generating memes in the interwebz, and the comments section is all the intellect we need in such a democracy. Oh yeah, but there’s that pesky old Constitution. Reason may win out after all.

Why do people say a Ford Mustang can’t stay on the road (or something like that) and make fun of it?

Oh boy. So, for existing answers we have outdated stereotypes (‘muricans can't make good cars!) and well-meaning nonsequiturs. This is a lot simpler than that. Basically, there are a lot of meetups now like Cars and Coffee, and fairly or not, Mustangs have acquired a reputation via memes of crashing the moment they leave these meetups. This probably happens because powerful Mustangs are less expensive than, say, powerful Porsches, tend to be owned by young, inexperienced drivers, and those drivers tend to want to show off by doing a burnout when they leave a gathering of fellow car nuts. So they turn off TC and ESP, aren't ready for the power, and spin their cars. The reason it's a joke is that everyone knows it has nothing to do with the actual cars (aside from that they're inexpensive enough to be purchased by people who haven't been driving or living long enough to know you shouldn't turn off driver aids and peel out of a parking lot). The Mustang meme has absolutely ,nothing, to do with the tiresome American-vs-foreign debate, and it really has more to do with the availability of cheap power — that you can get in a Camaro too — than with Mustangs in particular. But once the second stupid Mustang crash got posted on Jalopnik, the die was cast, and every subsequent one was guaranteed to get more and more, err, traction. And thus a meme was born.

What other data does Facebook track that people aren't aware of?

Facebook’s revenue comes from advertising, so the core purpose of all the “tracking of data” is to create an advertising demographic database. Things such as age, gender, location, etc. The idea being the advertisers wanting to put their ad a n front of the correct audience. (Which by the way, is exactly how all advertising has been done since the dawn of advertising several hundred years ago. It is why you generally see beer and truck ads during sports on TV rather than tampon ads. Demographics!) Did you know there is a method to view the demographic database on Facebook? To see all the juicy details of what they track? Indeed yes. Even YOU can see it. How? BECOME AN ADVERTISER! Once you sign up to buy ads (you don’t even have to spend any money… just “window shop”!) you will be lead behind the curtain (digitally) and shown the massive secret database that Facebook has created with all the data they have collected about their users. It will be found in the “Audience” part of the advertising buying screens. You can target your ad with astonishing demographic precision (well, on the desktop UI, not mobile, but what advertiser uses their phone to buy ads?) You can pick gender, age ranges, locations (by country down to individual postal codes), and most importantly by their interests. Let’s say you are selling automotive parts. You can target people who “Like” Ford Mustangs for example. The best part about this demographic database is that it is likely 98% correct since it has been self-generated rather than done the way demographic data was collected in the past (largely through surveys, and that only of a less that single digit percentage of the population.) In the 80s & 90s I worked in the advertising business. Ad agencies and a magazine publisher. I learned about demographic databases way back then. In 2010, when Facebook recruited me to work there, I had heard the widespread meme of them “stealing your data” and “violating your privacy” so before I even interviewed, I signed up to buy an ad so I could see this data for myself. What I found wasn’t nefarious. Instead I found a demographic database that just contains far better data than any one I had seen before. And like all demographic databases it was collated and abstracted, meaning that as an advertiser, I could NOT see any data that was about an individual person, but only data that was about groups of anonymous people aggregated by commonalities that I may want to target. So there you go. Sign up to be an advertiser and you’ll be able to see the vast majority of the data that Facebook tracks. Sure, there is other data, whose purpose is growth of their platform, which advertisers do not have access to (mostly because it is useless for their needs, but useful for FB) such as who your friends are, and who has been interacting with you on Facebook.

What is the most dangerous vehicle on the road today?

I want to say smart car. Yes, they are "smart" cars for a reason, but they're stupid. They weigh how much? Like them memes - "I hit a deer - deer laughed and walked away." " I hit a squirrel, it had a slight limp at most." "Not so smart car" Then compare it to something big and heavy. Say right off the top of my head, 1973 Ford Mustang. That mustang ain't gonna stop. Hell, it probably wouldn't need more than a new bumper and mid class repairs. That smart car? D E D dead. Or what happens if something goes out? If your automatic driving assist goes out, that might not be a great thing.

Why is 1974 considered the last year of the muscle cars?

Let’s start with Mustang 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1. Looks good, sounds good, drives good, MPG, not terrible for a muscle car. About 350 horsepower at absolute maximum. (CNN in 1974)1974 is now starting 400% gas markup from MiddleEastern countries. Ford: Dammit. Introducing the all new Mustang for 1974! (Fine Print)88Hp does not qualify this as a muscle car anymore and has turned Mustang into an affordable economy car. 1975. I never liked Mustang, a Charger and Mustang from the same year? That Pony can’t pass 45MPH. The Charger tops 139 for what I like. But anyways, that’s a well known example. 66 Charger “A good looking Marlin” The Fastback days 1969 Dodge Charger Super Trak Pak - Top of the line. What hates on friends, goes bird hunting, and eats Wild Ponies for breakfast? A 426 Street HEMI. (These are muscle car references) 73 Charger. 74 was last ok year. In 1975 Muscle evolved into Personal luxury. I here prefer De-Evolution. 75 Charger Ford was not the only Fox Body. Meet a 1987 Dodge Charger Daytona Shelby Z. Well… you get what you see. Inline 4 powered. It’s sad. Still, with half the cylinders, it keeps up very well. Around this time, Dodge looked at the family picture line and said basically “Wtf? We need to revive this muscle car! Well, muscle and In-line 4 are opposite terms. While opposites work for the best in a marriage, they don’t necessarily look great together. Yes, Shelby helped them. Dodge Regrets the decision. Stay away Ford! In 1999, Dodge made this concept. Honestly, it wasn’t bad. For the time at least. 09. We must go back!!! 2018. Ok, never mind!!! Min short, 1987 was a good year for muscle. Buick even hinted at the Muscle car lounge. When new at the time Ferrari’s and Lamborghinis, much less other muscle cars are beat on the quarter mile by a Buick, up comes a meme. Well. You can’t say it ain’t accurate. In 2006, Ford realized that the Mustang had potential, I didn’t, Dodge debuted the challenger, and the public loved it some much, they changed just about nothing. Check it’s concept if you don’t believe Me. Also the Charger. Chevy revives the Camaro a year or 2 after. Pontiac comes back with a “G” series, then goes out of business. Now, around 2012, muscle cars start looking pretty better. But in short, gas, insurance, middle eastern countries, and haters killed the last of the true muscle cars. But, every once in a while, up comes a rebel. 1975 Chevy Chevelle Laguna Type S3. Ya don’t like it? Bet ya do now. 1996 Chevy Caprice 9C1. Police Car- means it’s tuned Caprice 9C1- means Corvette LT1 1996- means bubble top car, meaning very aerodynamic 3 names. Model- Capri Make- Mercury Tuner- McLaren 1991 GMC Syclone, fastest truck ever built and has a V6, until the SVT Lightning made it Thunder. Don’t underestimate a weird looking car. Any car that looks weird like late 70s May smoke your V6 Mustang, any ugly car from modern times that isn’t American, that’s just ugly. Except Buick, but who likes modern Buick anyways?

What’s the biggest difference between a base Ford Mustang and the most expensive racing one? Is it the difference between the amount of cylinders?

If we assume that “base model" refers to a base model Mustang GT, both have 8 cylinders. However, the Shelby Cobra GT500, the expensive racing model to which you are referring, has an additional .2 liters of displacement and is equipped with a supercharger for additional acceleration at launch. The track pack comes with a few other added features, mostly in weight reduction. The driveshaft and wheels as well as most of the interior have been replaced with carbon fiber, which is much lighter and stronger than the aluminum components used in the base model. It also comes with a few extra aero features, most notable is the wing on the trunk for downforce when cornering at high speed. It also has a slightly wider steering angle than the base model to allow for better cornering, as the reduced weight and added downforce make the car just a bit more stable than the Mustang GT. It's much less of a “crowd killer” as the memes suggest. Although there is some truth to them, the Shelby Cobra GT500 with this addition is intended to compensate for those shortcomings, although I've yet to see it for myself, but when you see one next to a Mustang GT, you'll notice many differences, as I did working at a Ford dealership when one came in under a customer's order.

What would happen if Donald Trump tried to show his base how macho he is by operating a classic or new muscle car with a manual shift and a 400 plus horsepower engine?

Excellent idea. So let’s put Donald behind the wheel of one of these legends: Let’s face it, the 1966 Shelby Mustang GT500 is a legend built for a legend. Surely that’s perfect for our aspiring Donald and every red blooded American. It could bring unity where there’s currently division. Exactly what Trump needs. Yet this is his first challenge - how to sit comfortably behind this thing: I have a 1966 Hi-Po so I know it can be a challenge. You’ve got to set up the seat just right so you can reach the peddles yet not have the wheel stick uncomfortably into your stomach. So once he is well seated, if he can fit behind it, he’ll then need to use these things: Now Ford are truly practical jokers as they provide two keys and it’s up to the driver to discover which key you use, in this circumstance, because one is for the ignition and the other is for the trunk. So this could be Trump’s second problem to overcome. But before he figures out which key to use, he may not find where to insert it, as the ignition isn’t on the steering wheel column but on the lower dashboard under the AMP meter. And that button next to it, which you can push in, has nothing to do with the ignition start. Yet let’s be graceful here and accept that he finally figures it out, because then the fun really begins. Being four on the floor means to say he has to master the art of engaging first gear. This requires a delicate balance of releasing the clutch whilst pushing down on the gas pedal in a similar fashion. Such things aren’t necessarily skills Donald appreciates. Now anyone who has learnt how to drive on a manual can tell you vivid fond memories of doing the kangaroo hop. Hence millions of eager viewers will bare witness to Trump hoping along in a violent forward direction somewhat reminiscent of this guy: It’ll be marvelous entertainment for the whole family. Finally, though, after many attempts, Trump will get the GT500 going and, thanks to the frustration of the kangaroo hop, he’ll accidentally floor the gas pedal whilst in first gear. So that’s about 500 hp, suddenly going through an old fashioned gearbox and differential, straight into the rear tyres. And the end result will look something like this: Yes, the first power pole in sight will collect our legendary driver Donald along with our legendary Shelby Mustang. I imagine it’ll get plenty of airplay, across the globe, for months on end. Plus there will be plenty of memes as well posted all over Twitter. And I’m sure he’ll blame the power pole for getting in his way.
