Laku keras, Honda City 'tapau' Vios dalam jualan sedan segmen B di Thailand untuk Jan-Feb 2022!

Toyota Vios mungkin menerajui jualan sedan segmen B di Malaysia pada 2021, tetapi di utara Thailand pula, gelaran itu dipegang oleh pesaing utamanya, Honda City. Dalam tempoh dua bulan pertama tahun ini, sebanyak 4,213 unit City terjual secara keseluruhan, menguasai 24 peratus bahagian pasaran.

Dalam data yang dikumpul oleh Autolife Thailand, kembar Toyota Vios Thai Eco Car, Toyota Yaris Ativ berada di tempat kedua dengan 3,752 unit terjual. Yaris Ativ, bagaimanapun, telah melebihi jualan City pada Februari 2022 dengan 1,871 unit berbanding 1,794 unit City.

Yaris Ativ dikuasakan oleh enjin 1.2 liter yang lebih kecil untuk mematuhi peraturan Eco Car di negara gajah putih itu. Toyota juga turut menawarkan Vios 1.5 liter dengan wajah yang berbeza, namun tidak begitu popular dengan hanya 608 unit dijual di tempoh yang sama.

City berspesifikasi Thai juga dikira sebagai Eco Car kerana ia dikuasakan oleh unit 1.0 liter pengecas turbo. Januari 2022 menyaksikan City mendahului jualan dengan margin yang besar mengatasi Yaris Ativ dengan 2,419 unit berbanding 1,881 unit. Rangsangan itu sudah memadai untuk City mengekalkan kedudukannya sebagai sedan segmen B terlaris tahun 2022 setakat ini.

Menariknya, mengisi carta 3 teratas dalam dua bulan pertama tahun ini ialah Mazda 2 Sedan yang menyaksikan 2,768 unit terjual. Model Mazda aras mula ini telah diberi kemas kini di Thailand dengan lapisan cat baharu yang berkilat dan Apple CarPlay/Android Auto tanpa wayar, jadi mungkin tarikan sedan lama itu kembali di kalangan pembeli Thailand?

Berbeza dengan segmen trak pikap yang kebanyakannya merupakan pertarungan dua hala antara Toyota Hilux dan Isuzu D-Max, pasaran sedan segmen B menjadi persaingan hangat di kalangan 5 model. Selain daripada 3 pemegang podium, MG 5 dan Nissan Almera juga menyaksikan jualan 4 angka untuk dua bulan pertama tahun ini.

MG 5 menyaksikan 2,762 unit terjual manakala 2,237 unit Nissan Almera telah dijual pada Januari dan Februari 2022. MG 5 secara teknikalnya menipu di sini kerana ia lebih kepada saiz sedan segmen C tetapi harganya hampir sama dengan Vios dan City.

Menggenapkan baki senarai jualan ialah Mitsubishi Attrage (869 unit) dan Suzuki Ciaz (338 unit). Secara keseluruhan, 17,547 unit sedan segmen B telah dijual di Thailand pada Januari dan Februari 2022.
