Toyota's Kinto One car subscription programme in Malaysia has now added (almost) the full range of Perodua models, meaning prospective owners can now opt to subscribe to an Aruz, Alza, Ativa, Bezza, and Myvi with prices starting from RM 608 monthly.

Kinto One is an all-in-one susbcription plan that was first launched here in January 2021. Initially it was only extended to Toyota and Lexus models.

The monthly packages are customisable. At its core you will get the car's roadtax, annual comprehensive insurance, and regular services covered for by the manufacturer (with concierge pick-up/delivery), though you can add on wear and tear maintenance (batteries, tyres, brake pads, etc) for a little bit extra every month.

Whatever plan you choose, the monthly payment is amount is fixed over the subscription period, which can range from 24 months to 60 months, each year with a mileage cap of 20,000 or 30,000 km. At the end of the subscription period, customers can choose to either return the car, continue subscribing to the same vehicle, or opt for a brand-new one.

Here's an example using the cheapest car they offer, the Bezza. Customers can get one starting from RM 608 monthly. This is the 1.0 G variant, with the Lite Package and 20,000 km/year cap, for 60 months.

Adding on the Standard Package (which includes wear and tear items) over the same mileage cap and subscription period brings the monthly repayment to RM 818.

Comparisons will inevitably be drawn to just buying the car outright, but there's a few benefits to subscribing too: to get to the same monthly repayments via hire purchase will require significant cash downpayment, not to mention having to pay for everything else on your own later.

Kinto One is available online to both individual and corporate customers (with an option for a full-service lease for the latter), and can be accessed via the website www.kinto-my.com. Applications can be made online at the same site. Note too that there is also Kinto One Value, the same programme but for pre-owned cars.

Kinto One is operated by Toyota Capital Malaysia is a subsidiary of the global Toyota Financial Services Company which directly operates under Toyota Motor Corporation.
