If it’s anything other than Golf, then hopefully this time Volkswagen will be able to change that. Here’s the eighth generation (Mk8) Golf, albeit in rendering and sketches. But fret not, all will be revealed on the 24th of October so mark your calendars.

The Mk8 Golf sports a revamped exterior design, being more dynamic than before and yet still recognisable as a Golf from all sides. 

Inside, it has a new digital cockpit that somewhat joins the center infotainment screen, not unlike the Mercedes A-Class. 

There will be a new range of engines that are cleaner and more efficient of course, to comply with the ever-more stringent emission standards. Handling is also said to be improved with greater agility from the enhanced suspension.

It will also feature more digitalisation and connectivity to keep up in this age of connectivity with assisted driving features and online-based functions and services.

The Mk8 Golf will hit first markets as early as December.
