Das WeltAuto launched in Malaysia, peace of mind when buying a used VW

Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) today launched Das WeltAuto, Volkswagen’s global used car programme that offers customers certified used cars they can trust. The award-winning Das WeltAuto is backed by the global know-how, standards and processes, systematic solution and warranty of the Volkswagen Group.

The most obvious benefit of buying a certified pre-owned Volkswagen (which is different from a used Volkswagen, more on that later) from Das WeltAuto is peace of mind.

All Das WeltAuto-certified Volkswagen cars have passed a strict and thorough 133-point check conducted and verified by Volkswagen Master Technicians.

Customers can be sure the vehicle’s mileage has not been tampered with (common for used cars), all the necessary maintenance work have been done according to the manufacturer’s schedule using only genuine Volkswagen parts, and the car is confirmed to be accident-free.

Dast WeltAuto certified Volkswagens also come with a 1-year extended warranty and 1-year roadside assistance. This is on top of whatever remaining period in the car’s 5-year manufacturer-backed warranty.

For example, a three-year old certified pre-owned Volkswagen will still have 2 years left in its 5-year warranty. A customer who buys this particular certified pre-owned unit will still enjoy the remaining two years in the car’s warranty, and after that one more year of warranty courtesy of Das WeltAuto.

For cars that are older than five years old and are no longer covered by the manufacturer warranty, Das WeltAuto’s 1-year warranty applies. Additionaly, customers can enjoy Volkswagen Care Plus benefits for Volkswagen cars above five years. The benefits include discounted original spare parts and the two years roadside assistance.

It is important to note that not all used Volkswagens sold by Das WeltAuto are certified pre-owned cars. Only Volkswagen cars that have passed Das WeltAuto’s rigorous standards will be sold as a certified pre-owned car. Otherwise, the used Volkswagen will be sold as a regular used car, at a lower price of course.

Although Das WeltAuto is a division of Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia, it also accepts trade-in of non-Volkswagen cars.

Das WeltAuto is currently available at four Volkswagen dealerships; Volkswagen Puchong, Volkswagen Gombak, Volkswagen Alor Setar and Volkswagen Juru.
