The Suzuki Jimny is a fun little off-roader that many aftermarket companies offer conversion body kits to turn the Japanese jeep into other classics. It’s kind of like cosplay but in Jimny form and one of the famous aftermarket companies that offer Jimny bodykits is DAMD.

DAMD also offers bodykits for various Mazda, Subaru, Toyota, and Honda models but it’s the retro bodykit for the Suzuki Jimny that they are mostly famous for. Almost since the fourth-gen Jimny was launched in 2018, DAMD has been offering retro body kits that paid tribute to the Land Rover Defender, Ford Bronco, Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen, and the first-generation Suzuki Jimny.

The Japanese aftermarket company has recently launched its latest bodykit which takes inspiration from the original G-Wagen. Called Little G Traditional, the bodykit is offered on the kei-sized Jimny and the Jimny Sierra which is the global model.

Besides the retro redesign which includes a classic G-Wagen front grille, repositioning of the side indicators to the bonnet, and large old-school side mirrors, DAMD also offers a two-tone paintjob that mimics the soft-top version of the G-Wagen.

The classic G-Wagen was initially developed as a military vehicle before a civilian version was offered in 1979. Besides being sold as a Mercedes-Benz, the G-Wagen was also sold as the Puch G until 2000 and the original G-Wagen was sold to the public between 1979 to 1992.

As for the Little G Traditional body kit, the complete unpainted set is priced from JPY 374,000 (~RM 12k) which includes the front grille, bonnet turn signals, front and rear bumpers, front fog lamps and taillamps, and mudflaps.
