Mercedes-Benz’s small van market may not be familiar to us as they are in Europe. Take for example the Citan, a small commercial van that is essentially a rebadged Renault Kangoo.
That could change though as the carmaker has announced the all-new2022 T-Class, a lifestyle variants of the Citan workhorse.
Think of the T-Class as a Citan that’s more attuned to private customers. As such, it will offer a large amount of space through wide-opening sliding doors on both sides - this time with windows!
The press release also states that this upcoming MPV is created with ‘Sensual Purity, design, value, safety and connectivity’ in mind, so expect family-friendly features such as active safety and MBUX to be present.
The T-Class is bound to hit markets in 2022 and will be sold alongside the Citan. Both models will be jointly developed in the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance, and both will also feature fully-electric powertrains.
With humble beginnings collecting diecast models and spending hours virtually tuning dream cars on the computer, his love of cars has delightfully transformed into a career. Sanjay enjoys how the same passion for cars transcends boundaries and brings people together.
