Malaysians looking to get the all-new 2023 Toyota Innova Zenix will not be waiting much longer as UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) has just released a teaser for the most advanced generation of the Toyota 7-seater.

The third-generation Innova is planned to make its awaited Malaysian debut on Wednesday, 21-June 2023 and UMWT has put up a registration of interest on its website with a countdown clock to the launch day.

In Indonesia, the Innova Zenix is available with two Dynamic Force powertrains – a 2.0-litre M20A-FKS petrol engine (174 PS/205 Nm) and a 2.0-litre M20A-FXS hybrid powertrain combining a petrol unit (152 PS/187 Nm) with an electric motor (113 PS/206 Nm).

Both units are paired to a CVT automatic gearbox that sends power to the front wheels. The Innova Zenix is built on the TNGA-C unibody platform and not the IMV ladder-frame chassis of previous generations.

Unlike the outgoing AN140-generation Innova which is locally assembled at the ASSB plant in Shah Alam, the upcoming Innova Zenix will be fully imported (CBU) from PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia’s (TMMIN) plant in Karawang.

So, expect the CBU Innova Zenix to be priced way above the RM 150,000 mark. To recap, the outgoing CKD Innova's 2 variants range from RM 133,880 (2.0 G) to RM 141,880 (2.0 X).
