UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) ended September 2023 with 9,020 units of Toyota and 208 units of Lexus vehicles sold, totaling 9,228 units. The figure is 10 percent lower than in August. Cumulative sales from January to September 2023, is still 8 percent higher than last year, totaling 76,511 units.
Last month, UMWT launched an improved 2023 Toyota Yaris. The improved model, referred to as the Yaris IMP, is the second update for the No.1 selling non-national hatchback, which has sold 60,300 units since its launch in 2019.

The new Yaris featured a new instrument cluster, upgraded 9-inch touch screen infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, new black fabric seats, wireless charger for smartphones, and built-in front dashcam.

The new Toyota MY app unifies the previously separate Toyota Drive app for service appointments and Toyota 24Seven app for roadside assistance.
