This is the Geely Farizon E6. If it looks familiar, that’s because Farizon saw the fifth-generation Toyota Hiace and practically put it through a photocopy machine.
As a brief recap, Farizon is a sub-brand under Geely's massive umbrella of brands, responsible for EV commercial vehicles.
But unlike the petrol- or diesel-burning Hiace, the Farizon E6 ditches those in favour of a single rear-mounted electric motor that does 136 PS. Geely offers the Farizon E6 with two battery capacities, 50.25 kWh and 41.86 kWh.
The smaller capacity one offers a 200 km range, while the larger capacity offers a 235 km range. Both ranges are rated under the C-WTVC test cycle. Regardless of battery capacity, the Farizon E6’s top speed is 100 km/h.
Using DC fast charging, it only takes 1 hour to charge from 0 to 100 percent state-of-charge, while regular AC home charging requires 9 hours to achieve the same status.
In terms of design, the Farizon E6 has a slightly different facade than the Hiace. The grill and bumper have blue accents in some parts, and the side has a step roof. Additionally, the sliding door model on the side is only available on one side.
Compared to the Hiace, the rear of the Farizon E6 has a more modern-shaped taillight with multi-reflectors and a slightly redesigned bumper.
Moving to the interior, the dashboard of this car has the same appearance as the Toyota Hiace. Only the center cluster looks more modern. It has two seats in the front, and the cargo space of this vehicle has a maximum load capacity of 1,415 kilograms.
In China, the Geely Farizon E6 is currently priced from CNY 193,800 (~RM 123k) and tops out at CNY 258,800 (~RM 165k).
