Like its Campro-powered siblings, the Proton Persona requires an oil change at the 1,000-km mark, which costs RM 121.09.

For the Proton Persona, the most expensive service within the 100,000-km/5-year period is at the 60,000-km/36-month mark, as this is a major service where owners need to replace the spark plugs, engine oil, air filter, and transmission fluid. It costs RM 743.41 to service the Persona CVT at this particular interval.

It is cheaper to service the manual variant of the Persona at the 60,000-km mark, costing just RM 343.33, as the manual transmission fluid isn’t due until the 100,000-km mark.

Proton has also shifted the pricey timing belt replacement to the 110,000-km/66-month mark, which costs RM 633.85 for both the CVT and manual variants of the Persona.
As such, over a 5-year/100,000-km period, owners of CVT automatic variants of the Iriz need to fork out RM 3,051 to service their car, while maintaining the manual variant is slightly cheaper, coming in at RM 2,720.
