Finally...the all-new 2024 Toyota Camry (XV80) has made its global debut moments ago at the annual LA Auto Show in California. The expansive event – which uses 760,000 square feet of exhibition space – also saw the introduction of a new Crown SUV variant.

But anyway, on with the Camry. Today's model is the eighth generation of the long-standing model, replacing the prior XV70 that's been around since 2017. Despite the new model code, think of it more as a deep refresh instead of an all-new model.

Woven from the TNGA-K platform, the 2025 Camry comes with hybrid-only powertrains, including the fifth-generation hybrid system with a 2.5-litre engine (combined 232 PS) mated to an all-wheel drive setup (combined 232 PS) that appears on a Camry Hybrid for the first time. Other variants include one with a 225 PS combined powertrain, and sport-tuned suspension.

Fresh tech include an available 12.3-inch fully-digital instrument cluster, 10-inch head-up display (HUD), and a 12.3-inch multimedia screen that has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Adding on to connecitivity is a wireless charger and 5 USB ports.

Safety updates see a whole host of refreshments done to the Toyota Safety Suite system. These include a pre-collision safety system with pedestrian detection, full-speed dynamic radar cruise control, lane-departure alert with steering assist, lane-trace assist, road-sign assist and automatic high beam.
