ThePeugeot Landtrek - the French automaker's foray into the pick-up truck market - has been spotted testing today in Glenmarie.
Sent in by reader David Boh Ze Wei, the green truck is a left-hand drive unit. That's expected as its primary target markets are Latin American and sub-Saharan continents.
Much like the Proton X50, it's based on Chinese underpinnings - being based on the Changan Kaicene F70.
Available in two- and four-wheel drive guise, the Landtrek is offered with a 1.9-litre diesel (152 PS and 350 Nm) and a 2.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine (212 PS and 320 Nm).
Malaysian availability?
It's a hint, but don't hold your breath. Recall that Peugeot's regional training centre is here in Petaling Jaya, and this could just be a training unit used for their staff.
That, or it could just be here for durability testing reasons.
