Despite being the largest car in the model range, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class has grown in every dimension in its latest iteration. How does it compare to the G12 BMW 7 Series? Let’s take a quick look.
Length wise (both long wheelbase versions), the all-new W223 Mercedes-Benz S-Class measures 5,289 mm long while the G12 BMW 7 Series measures 5,260 mm long.
Wheelbase is just millimetres shy of each other; the S-Class measures 3,216 mm whereas the 7 Series stretches at 3,210 mm.
In terms of width, the S-Class is 1,921 mm wide while the 7 Series is 1,901 mm wide.
The S-Class stands at 1,503 mm tall; the 7 Series is slightly lower at 1,479 mm.
As it stands, the W223 Mercedes-Benz S-Class is ever so slightly larger than the G12 BMW 7 Series. But you know what they say - every centimetre counts, right?
