As previously mentioned, a master warning light is an indicator of an issue with one of several systems. This light can indicate a malfunction in the brake switch or battery management system on some Mazda vehicles. Typically, though, the master warning light will come with a warning message specifying the issue.
The flashing key -- or sometimes a car outline with a key inside of it -- is the security indicator light. This light flashes when the ignition switch is placed in the OFF, LOCK or ACC position. The blinking security indicator light indicates that the security system(s) equipped on the vehicle are operational.
If there is a malfunction with the push button start function, the push button start indicator light (amber) flashes. In this case, the engine may start, however, have the vehicle checked at an Authorized Mazda Dealer as soon as possible.
