The new 2022 Perodua Myvi facelift was launched on 18 November 2021 and as of 2 December, Perodua has received 14,600 bookings for the updated hatchback. Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. has announced that it will suspend operations at one of its plants for a couple of days next month, citing an expected parts shortage. The affected facility is the company's second plant in Shiga (Ryuo), and it will be closed for two days, on 12-July and 19-July 2021. Other factories are unaffected.
