We think the latest Toyota Corolla Altis is a looker but in Europe, things are looking a little sharper for the world’s best-selling car.

Following the success of the GR Sport versions of the Corolla hatchback and Touring Sports station wagon in Europe, the Corolla sedan is the next-in-line.

Inspired by Toyota’s performance-oriented GR models, the GR Sport Corolla sedan gets piano black trims instead of chrome around the exterior like the front grille, door mirrors, and side sills.

A boot lid spoiler and GR Sport badging around the rear along with black alloy wheels enhance the sporty looks of the GR ‘Rolla.

There are 8 colour options, with Dynamic Grey introduced as a signature colour for the GR Sport. 7 of these colours can be combined with a black roof for a distinct GR Sport look.

The sportiness continues inside with specially-designed seats inspired by the GR brand, leather steering wheel, trims with red stitching, and aluminium scuff plates with the GR logo.

The Corolla sedan GR Sport will be available with the 1.8-litre hybrid which has 122 PS and the 1.6-litre petrol which has 132 PS in Europe starting January 2021. Do you think Malaysia will get the GR treatment for the local Corolla?
