Images of a black and white patent filing of a hatchback that looks like the Toyota Yaris has surfaced on the internet. The images are leaked from a patent image submission to the National Institute of Industrial Properties of Argentina.

According to Funtastiko, the images were leaked by Brazilian news site Parabrisas. The patent images are said to be of the Toyota Yaris facelift that will be launched in 2021.

There is no mistaking the shape of the car in the patent images to be anything but the Yaris, as it looks very similar to the model that is on sale in Malaysia. It looks like the facelift will come with a more aggressive hexagonal grille and larger bumpers.

Based on the patent images, it looks like the Yaris facelift will come with stylish LED headlights similar to what you see on the top spec Honda City. Not much changes seem to been done to the side and rear end though.

It is quite possible that us in the ASEAN region might get a different bumper and grille from this South American market model.
